Success
is all relative...right? I mean I measure my success my own way. For me, success is...not giving into those cravings and emotional eating patterns....stopping eating when I feel full...and making it to the gym AT LEAST 3 times a week. Those are only a few things I use to measure success....and I am rocking!!!
I applied to today to have my blog included on their website. It would be cool..considering very few folks read this...lol!
TGIT!!!!

Am I worth it?
Of COURSE I am!
What I am referring to is....should I spend $1000 on 40 training sessions at the gym? My friend, who just certified as a trainer, is offering a 2-for-1 deal....she will match however many sessions I buy. So 10 session is $450, which would be 20 sessions. Right now, I have extra money, with getting my income tax, daycare money from my ex, and child tax benefit that I haven't gotten in a while due to them not having my correct address. I know I can put this money on my bills...but it seems like too good of a deal to pass up.
For $900 + GST, I could have 40 training sessions, and it's an opportunity that would be so hard to pass up, the cisrcumstances are so right for this, and my mindset is ready to work. I lost 4.5 pounds last week on my own, and have had 2 sessions with Shelly this week and one more booked for Friday. 40 session works out to be 13 weeks of training, at 3 sessions a week. Plus I get free training sessions included with my gym membership that I could use, to make it 14 weeks. I think I'm ready to get amongst it!
In 13 weeks from now, I will be so very very healthy and HOT!!!

Good for me!
I dont know what changed..but last week was great. I stayed on plan all week, including the weekend. I lost 4.5 pounds and am back down to 210..only 2 more pounds to go the be back at the last lowest weight. I'm hoping to get there this week.
I did a workout 6 out of 7 days last week. Mostly cardio, but I did a few sessions of Yoga (3 to be exact) and plus I did lots of cleaning and that elbow grease counts as sweat!
I got my income tax return which takes a big weight off my shoulders in regards to bills that are due (and now paid up).
AND...drum roll please...I am going to buy a training package at the gym. For the price of 10 sessions, I will get 20 sessions....if that doesn't kicked me in the butt, I might as well quit! Wish me luck!
Also, my house looks amazing...yes there is still clutter...but it's decreasing and the house is nice and tidy and CLEAN! I think I'm getting the hang of this thing some folks refer to as "life".
I'm tooting my own horn, because if there is no-one else who can give you a boost, then you gotta count on yourself. And really, you can't rely on others for your self-esteem, you MUST rely on yourself. I'm trying really hard not to let extrenal forces that I can't control influence my peace of mind. I am the only one who will take care of me...so I'm gonna take care of me!

Onwards and upwards
I refuse to call it starting over again...I'm moving forward every day with my health. Obstacles get in the way and as long as I dont let them block me permanantly, then it's progress..:)
So this is day 3 of tracking my food and I've been bang on everyday. I have even been active all 3 days and I'm down 1.5 pounds...woot!
Life is good..:)

life is tough
Lots has happened since I last wrote here. My uncle died on January 30th. On Feb 1st, my daughter and I flew to Nfld. We arrived at 1am nfld time, drove 3 hours, slept 3 hours, got up and drove 2 hours then attended a beautiful memorial service. We spent the day visiting with family on my dad's side and drove 2 more hours to get back home. It was the hardest day I have experienced since Sophi spent 5 days in the hospital when she had a really bad seizure.
We were home for 5 days and then we had to make the trek back to the Yukon. This was much longer than when we went there. The flight back has several stops (I like to call it the Mail Run).
It took 12 hours once we got to the airport, to get to Vancouver. First we had to drive 3 hours to get to the airport. It was a long and horrible day, but I have great friends in Vancouver, and one of them came to pick us up at the airport at 11:30pm and got us back there by 10:20am to catch our 11:30 flight (which was late).
It was so good to get back. My huney was waiting for us when we got here. It was soo good to see him. It had been over a year since we have really spend any time apart from each other. I missed him. I missed my dog and cats. I missed my bed. It was good to get home and see the family, but it was also good to get back to the Yukon.
Wow, I guess I have 2 homes. Nlfd will ALWAYS be home. But the Yukon is home now too. My life is here...my kid, my job, my house, my pets, my honey..etc.
That's all for now folks. thanks for reading...lol
